Dubai's Nol Card: 7 Places You Can Pay For

May 01, 2023

The nol card in Dubai is a versatile tool that goes beyond just paying for public transport. In fact, it can be used to make payments for various services and products around the city. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has collaborated with numerous businesses, making nol card payments more convenient for residents and tourists alike.

It is important to note that this facility is available only if you have a blue, silver, or gold nol card.

Here are the 7 places where you can use your nol card to make payments:-

1. Pay for Public Parking in Dubai

The nol card can be used to pay for public parking in Dubai. Commuters no longer have to worry about not having enough change in their wallets or balance on their mobile phones. Simply insert the nol card into the parking payment machine and enter the vehicle's plate details and parking duration, and the amount will be deducted from the nol card's balance.

2. Pay for Taxi Fares

The nol card can also be used to pay for almost every mode of public transportation in Dubai, including taxis. The RTA has installed Point of Sale (POS) devices in all public taxis in Dubai, allowing commuters to use their nol card as a form of payment. Hold your card over the POS device, and it will automatically validate the card and deduct the fare.

3. Pay for Taxi Fares

Commuters can use the nol gold, silver, or blue cards to pay for their journey on the Palm Monorail. This service was previously only available by purchasing a separate ticket.

4. Enter Public Parks and the Etihad Museum

The nol card allows you to pay for entrance to public parks operated by the Dubai Municipality. Major public parks in Dubai accept cash and nol cards, except for Zabeel Park, which requires visitors to pay the entry fee only through a nol card. The cost for entering public parks ranges from Dh3 to Dh5 per person. Additionally, the nol card can be used to pay for entry to the Etihad Museum.

5. Pay for Groceries, Restaurants, and Medicines

The nol card can be used to pay for groceries, snacks from a convenience store, medicines from a pharmacy, or a meal at a restaurant. Over 2,000 food and retail outlets have collaborated with the RTA to allow customers to pay through their nol card. The maximum amount for daily essential payments using nol cards is Dh200.

6. Use Your Nol Card to Refuel Your Car

Motorists can choose to pay using their nol cards for refueling and making purchases at all ENOC fuel stations.

7. Pay for Your Vehicle Registration

Motorists can use their nol card to pay for their vehicle registration and vehicle test at Tasjeel centers, as per the RTA website.
